Damned.

Certainly, I was damned.

What the hell happened? My eyes moistened as I sat up well on my bed. Shivers simultaneously ran down my spine as my finger grazed the drenched paper.

It wasn't just a paper. It was the form. The seals stars educational competition's form that got drenched.

I felt much acridity for myself. Here and there, I darted my eyes around the room only to find out that it was already night. Nobody was in the room.

I was all alone. And I was kinda thankful for that.

I stood up feeling giddy. Angry with myself, I nearly ripped off my school uniform while pulling them off and wearing my sea green day wear.

I needed no one to tell me that it was already time for dinner.

I contemplated on taking a bathe so that I wouldn't stink of my own urine. That was damn embarrassing.

How could I over sleep? God, why did I urinate on myself? It wasn't even night! Worst of it all was that the SSEC form was drenched and crumpled.

I hissed out of frustration.

Hoping that I wouldn't smell due to the fact that I didn't take a bathe after this awful experience, I walked out of the room with the books I would need for night prep.

Of course, I was going for no dinner.

I just sauntered into my class waiting for the bell to ring and everyone will leave the ref for the night prep.

The class would have been said to be empty if Paris and Rachael weren't there talking in muffled tunes.

"Hold on," Rachel told Paris and then turned her gaze to me. "About last time, sorry."

"About what?" I feigned ignorance.

"You know why. I'm really sorry." She said but I sighed, feeling pissed off from what happened earlier in hostel.

I was even wondering how I would break the news to Mrs Rose.

"Um, Ma please I handled the form terribly. Is there still another form with you?"

Or probably, "I misplaced the form, eh..."

"That's how she is. Always lost like a stray sheep." The loudness of Rachael's voice brought me out of my personal thoughts.

Two pairs of contrasting eyes stared at me. I felt a bit awkward.

"What?" I couldn't help but blurt out.

Rachael shook her head. "You have a thing for spacing out, don't you?"

I sighed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Burnt.
That was how I felt burnt.
The terrible scorching sun was already out by ten the next day. I was a bit annoyed as I stood beside Mrs Rose door. It was locked. But I had long decided to wait for her.
I wanted to tell her and ease the burden off myself. If I was to still participate, then good. If not, then...
Whatever. I just wanted Mrs Rose to teleport here and welcome me into her office.
"Did you hear that this week Saturday is visiting day?" I turned towards the direction of the voice to behold a panting Juliana.
What was she doing here? Talking to me? I doubt.
I turned away and sighed as I almost conceived the thought of squatting in front of the office.
"So you're a snub? Well, Paris said that." That got my attention.
"This is when your ears will go up like that of a rabbit." She rolled her eyes at my reaction.
"You've been discussing me behind my back, right?" I chuckled lightly. "Not as if I'm surprised. Nah."
"Yeah. A lot of times." She actually agreed to making me a subject case, a couple of times.
"What are you even doing here?" She asked, suddenly realizing that we are in front of the vice principal's office.
"Cracking nuts and selling bean cakes." I hissed. "What does it seem like that I'm doing?"
Juliana stood shocked for a while. Then she cleared her throat looking strangely at me. "How the fuck am I meant to know what you're doing here? Am I a sorcerer?"
I shrugged.
"She's making friends behind my back." No other person than Helen threw in.
Juliana and I looked back to behold her staring animatedly at us.
"Hi," I greeted.
"Obviously, this are the type of people that you will keep as friends." Juliana turned back to me and snorted belligerently.
"What's your point? That people should keep stupid unfruitful beings like you as friends? How awful! Faith, please lets get out of here." That was coming from a totally pissed off Helena.
I smiled a bit and allowed Helen to drag me out. Juliana watched us hotly with arched brows.
"What were you doing with Juliana?" Helen asked once we were about a mile away from the subject matter. We were to the cafeteria.
I shrugged. "Nothing. Actually, I was waiting for Mrs Rose because I had something serious to discuss with her. But I guess, she's in a meeting with the supervisors."
"Okay. Then aren't you waiting any longer."
Seriously? "Girl, you dragged me out of there. Besides, I've decided to momentarily forgo meeting her so that we will chill and talk."
"If you say so." Helen said.
And then added, "Eh, Faith were you in the last music club meeting?"
I made a certain face. "Nah."
"We are singing that day!" Helen exclaimed, feeling euphoric. "I'm so happy. Really happy."
Good for her. I had shit to tackle. Plus the up coming SSEC.
Just then, we entered the cafeteria. It was wide and simply decorated. The waiters and waitress always had a warm smile on their face. Or, they tried to.
Once upon a time, that being few days after I joined Stardom Academy, I became friends with this cute waiter that I suspected to be hitting on me. Unfortunately, my cute friend left. And no one knew why.
The line wasn't much. And I wanted to buy and eat some nice snacks before the bell rings and we would be forced to get back to class.
"I'm tired. I'll be sitting down here, order for us." Helen sauntered to a table near the now growing line.
"Tired? It's just about three girls and a guy before us." I stated but Helen had her mind made up.
Right before me, a hazel eyed guy walked past other students in the line and then stopped beside the girl who was second in line.
He whispered something to the girl who shook her head. He whispered to her again. And this time, the girl shifted back for him to occupy her position, with a broad smile.
"This is not fair." I pouted angrily.
The person behind me sighed tiredly. "Don't blame her, though. It's Paris that's the subject here."
Oh no, not another fan girl!
Finally, everyone before me got what they wanted. I asked for two chicken pies and a medium sized yoghurt with a vanilla flavored cupcake.
I wrote I and Helen's name down on the paper that was given to me. So that the necessary reduction would be made from our individual accounts.
"You wasted time. I've lost my appetite." Helen casually said and I was aggrieved.
"I didn't spend up to ten minutes there." I stated matter of factly. "Besides, you would just stayed in line and ordered the fuck you wanted."
Helen stared at me for a few moments. Then chuckled a bit after shaking her slightly fat head. "You...you get mad when you ought not to. And then keep mute when you shouldn't."
"Excuse me ladies, maybe I join the table?" I stabbed on my chicken as I fed myself a chunk.
"Of course, no one owns the table." Helen answered and I finally looked up to see who she allowed to sit with us.
It was that same hazel eyed guy.
He smiled as his eyes met mine. He seemed to have mischief up his sleeves.
"I thought you would remain lost in your private moment with the poor chicken." He said and earned a light chuckle from me.
"Robert said something about having a mean partner. How true is that?" I was sure that that question was directed at me.
But he told idiots like him that I am a snub. I might just act like one to him.
"I thought guys are doing this so called bro code stuffs. How come you're disbelieving Robert and seeking the truth from Faith?" Helen inquired.
Big mouth.
"Or are you just trying to initiate a conversation with Faith? If so, then good luck."
"I don't like how you're sounding." I blurted out nonchalantly, looking up from my half gone chicken to a smiling Helen.
"Faith..."
I cut Paris off the line. "I'm not even talking to you. Shut up for once."
"Loosen up a bit. You don't have to attack everyone every time, before they will come to terms with you." Paris casually said.
"I don't see not wanting to talk to you as an attack. Or else your nerves has began malfunctioning. Then, that's your tea serving."
Helen sighed. "She's just not that social type. Don't get offended."
But I was highly offended. "Helen please shut up and eat the stuff before you. Don't poke into my business. You're telling him not to get offended. On what level?"
I pushed my chair back angrily, stood up and carried my snacks out with me. "You better excuse me for being antisocial."
