"Salem? What are you doing here"

I veered back and saw the same girl I ran into a while ago, it could only mean one thing, Riya is the daughter to Elena, I should have suspected when she called her name.

"Baby! Do you know him?". Elena asked covering her attention to her, Riya shook her head and explained what happened a while ago.

Elena falls her eyes and asks me the weirdest question, "who did you think, she was the moment you hugged her?". Elena inquired.

A weak smile wrapped around my face, I explained myself telling a white lie, surprised she believed, and ask Riya to walk me to my room.

Slowly we walked closer to my room, she pushed the door open, and guess what? It was the same room I  stayed in while growing up.

My eyes loomed around the room, Riya walks in behind and saw the stunned look I had on my face.

"Are you okay?" She asked gaining my attention, "I am okay Riya" I answered back with a weak smile.

I tried to hide the raging emotions I felt, being back to the same home I once called mine, I took notice of my pictures hung on the wall and walked close to it.

"Do you know him?" She asked once again, "no! I do not!" I lied to her because the little boy in the photo frame stands in front of her.

"Hmm, Okay, mom says he died in an accident, with his father, after they tried to steal from her! Like who steals from his own family".

My eyes widened up heeding to her words, it felt like Elena was trying to turn her family into a raging monster, but In reality, she was the monster.

Blah blah blah blah blah" Riya blabs her word to me, quietly I listened but when she attempted to call my father a gigolo, it nudges me to the wall.

"Enough Riya, don't talk about the dead okay, have some respect and if you don't know anything, why don't you shut up".

Without thinking I yelled out my frustrations on her,  she veered back sensing a weird aura around me.

She says "Salem, are you okay and why are you getting defensive about people you don't even know and don't you dare talk to me this way, I am your boss's daughter and my mom won't lie to me okay".

Urgh, defensive again about the same person, if only Riya could see that the woman whom she loves so much, is a devilish witch, I believe it will bring her back to her senses.

I bottled up my anger and apologize to her, Riya shouldn't be blamed because she follows the rules and regulations of the one she called mom, someday her blindfolds will fall and she will know who Elena Khan truly is.

"Excuse me"

I ambled out of the room as she watched me leave in a pissed-off mood.

I veered down the stairs and bumped into a young lady, "hey look where are going too?". She angrily pushed me back, lifting my eyes to her.

I was so not in the mood to banter words, I walked away leaving her in disarray.

"Idiot!" She turns and watched me leave.

I walked over to my car and rested my back on it, Riya's comment harmed me but if that wasn't enough, a man almost ran me over with his car.

The car screeches over in my direction).

I stood my ground and watched as he walked out of the car when he finally took notice of me.

Are you mad trying to get yourself killed?" He says to me in a loud tone.

Before he got the chance to banter more words out, I forgot my hand on his face, I slapped him, Instantly hurling Riya out of the house.

"What?"

She rushed and pulled him back, attempting to pay back my actions,  Riya raised her hands and almost tried to slap me.

Amazed she stoped when Elena walked out and asked the reason behind the commons out here.

Riya shoots the whole issue out of proportion and blatantly lied to her mom, shocking thing happened, Elena, asked for my side of the story, in which I told on the exact truth Riya forgot to tell her.

Immediately she pushed Riya out of her way and once again slapped the same person I did.

It's shocking to see  Elena wasn't hesitant to defend me if only she knew the truth that hides behind the curtains.

"Mom, what is this?"

Riya couldn't believe her eyes, veering her attention to her, "why did you sleep David mom, I do not like it one bit, Salem here was at fault". Once again she blames me but rather got her mom's response with a slap on her face.

"Now listen to my ungrateful thing, don't you ever think of speaking such rubbish against Salem, ever again, got it?". Elena warns her daughter.

"Yes ma'am"

Riya walks back in holding unto David, who shoots a glare at me.

Guess, maybe the odds in my favor, if Elena could defend me after a short while of letting me into my house, is my mom! Going soft or she's just acting like she normally does?".

"Am sorry about my daughter's behavior and trust me, I'll teach her a lesson, please pay no attention to her.

Elena blatantly apologize to me,  and veered away the second she finished explaining herself clear to me, Elena is hiding something, my mom isn't someone who says sorry without any hidden reason behind it.

I got back into the house and tucked myself in bed, until the following morning.

~~~ question of the day?
1) is Elena truly a changed person
2) is there a sinister plan behind her sleeves or
3) does she know something about who Salem Baltimore is? That he is her son?.
Read to find out, but first what awaits Salem in the morning when he wakes up from the bed.
Continue ( following the next morning).
My alarm beeped me up from bed,  I veered downstairs after being Informed I needed to come down for breakfast.
I walked in and saw it was a full house, everyone shoots a smile at me except Riya, she was still pissed of about what happened last night.
"Good morning everyone" I greeted ignoring the childish attitude a grown-up lady, shows to me.
While eating I could notice the hissing she made, knowingly trying to get me irritated by it, still I ignored her and kept enjoying my food.
"Excuse me, mom".
She gets angry after being aware that her attitude towards me made no effort to get me upset. In the attempt to walk out of our presence, she trips and falls flat to the floor.
"Urgh".
No one told her to get up after embarrassing herself, a weak smile smudge on, she veers and saw I was a little pleased by it.
Like a four-year-old girl, she vented her anger on the floor and walked straight into her room.
"Dramatic" I smiled enjoying the rest of my breakfast.
