Q: Do I need an ISBN?

A: An ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a 10 or 13-digit number that identifies a book. Major retailers, including Apple, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo, do not require an ISBN for eBooks. It is also not needed to publish on Mybard.

However, the ISBN has been a standard for identifying print books. For the authors who want an ISBN, Mybard provides one for free if your book is qualified for the global distribution. If you receive an ISBN from Mybard, it will include Mybard's prefix and Mybard will be listed as your publisher.

You can also use your own ISBN if you have one. Please make sure to use a valid ISBN for .epub format as each version and format of your book should have a separate ISBN.
